Featured Project - Arsenal Road Reconstruction

Knight is currently providing Phase III engineering services for the improvement of I-55 at Arsenal Road for the Illinois Department of Transportation. Work includes removing the existing Arsenal Road interchange and relocating it approximately one mile south with a new geometric configuration consisting of a flyover of I-55 for the southbound exit ramp and a loop ramp for the northbound entrance ramp. The Arsenal Road Bridge over I- 55 will be removed and a new bridge constructed to provide access to the West Frontage Road and the southbound entrance ramp. The improvement also includes retaining walls, lighting, traffic signal installation, pavement reconstruction, and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project.
