Featured Project - Invenergy Operations Facility
Marseilles, Illinois
Invenergy LLC, an international leader in developing clean energy, approached Knight to design a new maintenance and operations facility for their wind farm in Marseilles, Illinois.
The Owner’s intent was to put a new face on a old unrefined prototypical design that they had been using in Texas; however through extensive conversations between the Knight design staff, general contractor and Owner, it was soon discovered that the utilizing the old prototype was not a viable option and it was quickly discarded.
What resulted was simple design that harmoniously blends an industrial work environment with contemporary interiors while respecting its agricultural setting.
The 7,250 s.f., $1.5 million facility will be seeking LEED certification.
