For the
past 15 years, Knight has provided engineering and architectural services
and technical support to the Illinois Tollway for its Oases Redevelopment
Program. The project developed and implemented a unique and innovative
public/private partnership to completely restore the seven motorist service
plazas, known as Oases, on the Illinois Tollway system.
Completed at no cost to the Tollway or its customers, the $107 million
project combined innovative planning and extraordinary cooperation between
the public and private sectors to redevelop the Oases system, which will
serve the traveling public for years to come.
