LaGrange Road
Reconstruction
Knight provided engineering design services for the $27 million complete
reconfiguration of the Archer Avenue and LaGrange Road full cloverleaf
interchange to meet current design standards for curvature, decision
distance, weaving and recovery. Our design work provided for the
reconstruction of LaGrange Road with two traffic lanes in each
direction, bridge replacement of the existing bridge structure carrying
LaGrange Road over Archer Avenue and retaining wall construction.

Streetscape Improvements
Knight has
designed a variety of streetscape and median improvement projects for
several communities throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. Our work
includes more than 15 streetscape and median improvements in Chicago and
a streetscape plan along a section of Harlem Avenue in the Village of
Bridgeview. Extensive community outreach and public involvement are key
components in all of Knight’s streetscape plans. Our streetscapes are
designed to safely accommodate all modes of transportation, while
maintaining the unique identity of each community or neighborhood
through the use of Community Sensitive Design solutions. |

STH 16 Pavement Replacement
The Wisconsin
Department of Transportation selected Knight to replace the pavement for
more than 7 miles of State Highway 16, from State Highway 71 to Hazel
Road, in Monroe County. Knight’s work also included the removal and
replacement of the deck for the STH 16 bridge over Silver Creek, as well
as three intersection improvements.

Illinois Route 59
Knight is currently providing engineering services for
the $26 million reconstruction and expansion of approximately 2.9 miles
of IL Rt. 59, from north of Caton Farm Road to south of IL Rt. 26, in
Will County, Illinois. The project also includes the reconstruction of
the bridge carrying IL Rt. 59 over the DuPage River, as well as a new
drainage system, and
streetscape improvements along Rt. 59 through the City of
Plainfield. |
