Joliet Gateway
Knight was the lead engineer and architect for the City of Joliet to advance the conceptual design for a Multi-Modal Regional Transportation Center (MMRTC). This multiple phase project reconfigured, relocated and consolidated a new 15,000 SF regional transportation center that serves as a new anchor in downtown Joliet.
Wilmington Track and Kankakee River Bridge
Knight provided construction management services to Union Pacific Railroad for the Wilmington High-Speed Rail and Kankakee River Bridge that included extensive bridge construction over the Kankakee River and Forked Creek.
IL 59 Ferry to Aurora
Knight’s work for the Illinois Department of Transportation included the design of one of the first Diverging Diamond Interchanges in Illinois. The innovative interchange design was a key part of the roadway improvement of IL 59 from Ferry Road to south of Aurora Avenue.
Blackwell Fleet Management Building
Knight provided planning, design and construction administration services for the new 27,600 SF Blackwell Fleet Management Building located at the former Grounds Maintenance and Natural Resources Divisions campus in the Blackwell Forest Preserve.
